Internationally recognized as a conductor, educator, saxophonist and curator, Lars Mlekusch is known for his thoughtful artistry and a special dedication to twentieth century and contemporary music, which leads to vibrant performances. His close collaborations with composers such as Agata Zubel, Aureliano Cattaneo, Johanne Maria Staud, Laura Bowler, Sarah Nemtsov, Pierluigi Billone, Klaus Lang, Bernhard Lang, and Wolfgang Mitterer—have resulted in numerous world premieres.
He is a sought-after partner of some of the world’s leading ensembles, including Klangforum Wien, PHACE, Stuttgarter Kammerorchester, Georgisches Kammerorchester, OENM, Collegium Novum Zürich, Neue Vocalsolisten Stuttgart, Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra, and Soloists of the Tonhalle Orchestra, to name just a few.
